Photography & Performance
The hybrid practice of photography and performance is the primary medium I engage with as an artist. I use my body, gestures, and actions, as well as costumes, props, and mise-en-scène to stage narrative-rich scenes and use photography to document these performances, like stills of a film or a play. The resulting photographs are not merely records of performance but play an integral role in constructing narrative, framing presence, and translating temporal acts into visual form. Through this practice, I explore process, embodiment, and the constructed nature of representation, blurring the boundaries between reality and unreality, being and perception, place and placelessness.
